Vintage Hand Carved Old Makonde Man Smoking A Pipe, African Art

There’s something powerful in the stillness of this piece. Binadamu, a naturalistic type, captures the essence of Makonde social roles. Most common are depictions of men smoking. The old Makonde man sits carved from dark, polished ebony, his body relaxed, a pipe resting gently in his hand. His face is marked with the traditional Makonde lines, carved so delicately you can almost feel the story behind them.

Whether you are a fan of African art or simply looking for a unique addition to your collection, this sculpture is a must-have. It is perfect for display in any living space and is sure to be a conversation starter. Add this beautiful piece to your collection today.
