Impressive Hand Carved Nativity Scene, Rare Blackwood And Mkongo Wood Set

This beautifully hand carved wooden nativity scene is crafted from African Blackwood and Mkongo wood, two durable and highly valued hardwoods known for their rich tones and strength. The sculpture opens like a small wooden chapel to reveal a detailed depiction of the birth of Jesus, including the holy family, shepherds, and animals gathered around the manger. The natural contrast between the lighter Mkongo wood and the darker Blackwood creates depth and highlights the artistry of the carving.

Each figure is individually carved with careful attention to detail, showcasing the natural grain and character of the wood. The folding design allows the piece to be displayed closed as an elegant wooden sculpture or opened to reveal the full nativity scene. This makes it a meaningful decoration during Christmas and a wonderful addition to any collection of handcrafted or religious art. It also makes a thoughtful gift for collectors who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and unique wooden carvings.
